The Foundation for Best Practices in Machine Learning
Championing ethical and responsible machine learning through open-source best practices.
Machine learning has been hastily operationalised, often with little regard for its wider societal impact. This has resulted in harmful and unfair consequences. In order to mitigate these and create a better World, ethical and responsible machine learning is necessary.
We, at The Foundation for Best Practices in Machine Learning, want to help data scientists, governance experts, managers, and other machine learning professionals implement ethical and responsible machine learning. We do this through championing our technical and organisational Best Practices for machine learning, specifically via our free, open-source guidelines.
Applying ethical and responsible machine learning will result in products that are more beneficial to society as a whole. Additionally, the commercial benefits of ethical and responsible machine learning are robust models and greater R&D productionalization rates. This will help create a healthier machine learning ecosystem for all.
The Best Practice Guidelines
Extensive but easily accessible Best Practices for anyone working on or interested in machine learning.
The Wiki portal contains all of the Best Practices and more. Through the Wiki, everyone can help contribute to the Best Practices. The Wiki also serves as the community hub for discussion and debate.
